All About The Hookshelf and Me

I’m Becca, the creative force behind this little crochet nook. I’ve been wielding a crochet hook since my mom taught me how to crochet at the age of 10 and I’ve never fallen out of love with it. There’s something magical about turning a simple skein of yarn into a work of art.

Crochet isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a passion. I’m constantly inspired by the endless possibilities that the craft offers, and I find joy in both teaching and learning from others along the way. Whether it’s mastering a new stitch pattern, exploring different fibers, or unraveling the mysteries of the crochet universe, there’s always something new and exciting to discover.

Why the name The Hookshelf?

The photo on this page is my reading chair, where I love to sit surrounded by shelves filled with books, with a crochet hook in hand and yarn at my side. It’s my happy place. And that’s exactly what I want The Hookshelf to be—a virtual bookshelf of resources, overflowing with inspiration, tutorials, and patterns to fuel your crochet adventures.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just picking up a hook for the first time, I’m here to share my love for crochet and help you unleash your creativity. So grab your favorite yarn, find a comfy spot, and let’s get hooking.

Happy crocheting!
